Trends in Work and Family: Data Sources and Definitions

This article summarizes topics covered in my keynote address to the American Academy of Economic and Financial Experts on April 12, 2018. In that address, I summarized research from my recently coauthored (with Francine D. Blau) chapter, ‘‘Women, Work, and Family,’’ and given the audience, I particularly focused on the underlying data sources and definitions that I think are useful for those doing work in forensic economics. This article serves as a ‘‘companion piece’’ to the published chapter.
