David D. Jones. 2019. Bibliography of Forensic Economic Literature Regarding Hedonic Damages. Journal of Legal Economics 25(1–2): pp. 123–138.
This note provides a bibliography of the forensic economic literature dealing with the merits of attempts by economic experts to calculate the dollar values for ‘‘loss of enjoyment of life,’’ often referred to as ‘‘hedonic damages.’’ The bibliography begins in 1989, the year Berla, Brookshire and Smith (BBS) was published in the Journal of Forensic Economics, and ends with a note by Ireland in the Journal of Legal Economics in 2018. It provides a series of observations about how that literature has waxed and waned over the 30-year period from 1989 to 2018.
