A 2019 Survey of Forensic Experts: Their Methods, Estimates, and Perspectives

In 2019, members of three organizations whose memberships consist of forensic experts in economics and related fields were invited to complete an electronic survey. The response rate exceeded 39 percent. Survey questions explored methods of forensic analysis as well as aspects related to business practices. Respondents also had the opportunity to comment on ethical concerns facing practitioners in their work. The survey results are presented in detail, including specific comments made by respondents. A concluding section highlights key features of the survey instrument and related findings.
